Jasmin Bhasin is an Indian television actress and model who has worked across Hindi television, Punjabi cinema, South Indian films, and reality television. She is best known for her roles in Tashan-e-Ishq, Dil Se Dil Tak, and Naagin 4, as well as for her participation in reality shows including Bigg Boss 14 and The Traitors India.

Early life and education

Jasmin Bhasin was born on 28 June 1990 in Kota, Rajasthan, into a Sikh family. She completed her schooling in Kota and later moved to Jaipur, where she pursued a degree in hospitality. Although academically trained in service management, she developed an interest in modeling and acting, which eventually led her to the entertainment industry.[1]

Career

Early work in South Indian cinema (2011–2016)

Bhasin began her acting career with the Tamil film Vaanam (2011). She later appeared in Malayalam and Telugu films, including Beware of Dogs, Veta, and Ladies & Gentlemen. These early projects provided her with industry exposure but limited mainstream recognition.[2]

Breakthrough in Hindi television (2015–2020)

Her television debut came with Zee TV’s Tashan-e-Ishq (2015), where she played Twinkle Taneja. The show established her as a leading television actress. She gained further popularity with her role as Teni Bhanushali in Colors TV’s Dil Se Dil Tak.[3]

Bhasin later starred in the supernatural drama Naagin 4: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel, expanding her presence in prime-time television.

Reality television and public recognition (2019–2021)

In 2019, she participated in Khatron Ke Khiladi 9. Her nationwide popularity increased significantly after her appearance on Bigg Boss 14 in 2020, where her personal and emotional journey received widespread attention.

Punjabi cinema and music videos (2021–present)

Following her reality television success, Bhasin featured in several popular Hindi and Punjabi music videos. She made her Punjabi film debut with Honeymoon (2022) opposite Gippy Grewal.

She continued to build her Punjabi film career with appearances in Carry On Jattiye and Ardaas Sarbat De Bhale Di. In 2025, she appeared in the Punjabi film Badnaam and participated in Prime Video’s reality series The Traitors India.
