Jannat Zubair
Jannat Zubair Rahmani is an Indian actress and digital influencer. She began her career as a child artist and later transitioned into lead roles in television series, films and music videos. She is also one of the most-followed Indian celebrities on social media and has participated in several reality television shows.
Early life and education
Jannat Zubair Rahmani was born on 29 August 2001 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, to Zubair Ahmad Rahmani and Nazneen Zubair Rahmani. She showed an early interest in performing arts and entered the entertainment industry at a young age.[1]
Alongside her acting career, she continued her education and completed her Class XII examinations in 2019. She later pursued her graduation from a private college in Kandivali, Mumbai.
Career
Early career as a child artist
Rahmani made her television debut in 2008 with Chand Ke Paar Chalo. She gained recognition as a child actress with her lead role in Kashi – Ab Na Rahe Tera Kagaz Kora (2010). Her performance in Phulwa (2011), where she played the titular role, established her as one of the most prominent child artists on Indian television.[2]
She continued to appear in several television series, including Matti Ki Banno, Haar Jeet, Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap and Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai.
Transition to lead roles
In 2017, Rahmani transitioned to lead roles with the romantic drama Tu Aashiqui, portraying the character Pankti Sharma. The series marked a turning point in her career and earned her widespread recognition as a lead television actress.[3]
She made her Hindi film debut with Hichki (2018), followed by her Punjabi film debut in Kulche Chole (2022).
Music videos and digital presence
Rahmani has appeared in numerous music videos, collaborating with various Indian singers. These projects significantly expanded her popularity and contributed to her rise as a digital star.

Reality television
In 2022, Rahmani participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 12, finishing as the fourth runner-up. She later appeared in Laughter Chefs – Unlimited Entertainment (2024–2025).
In 2025, she participated as a contestant on The Traitors India, where she was eliminated on Day 9 and finished in eighth place.

Jannat Zubair Rahmani is regarded as one of the most influential young entertainers in India. She is often described as a style icon among Gen Z audiences and is recognised for successfully balancing acting, digital influence and brand partnerships.
