Rohit Suchanti (born 6 April 1996) is an Indian television actor known for his work in Hindi television serials. He gained widespread recognition for portraying Rishi Oberoi in Bhagya Lakshmi. He has also appeared in popular shows such as Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, Dil Yeh Ziddi Hai, and the reality show Bigg Boss 12. Since 2025, he has been portraying Angad Virani in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2.[1]
Early life and education
Rohit Suchanti was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He developed an interest in acting at a young age and began his career as a child artist before transitioning into lead roles on Indian television.[2]
Career
Rohit Suchanti began his acting career as a child artist in Saas Bina Sasural. He later appeared in episodic roles in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, playing characters such as Dhruv, Vikram, Abhay, and Rajveer across different seasons.
In 2015, he played Rohit Agarwal in Warrior High. He gained wider attention in 2017 for his role as Ramakant “Ricky” Modi in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya and as Ratan Maan Singh in Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya, where he appeared as the male lead.[3]
In 2018, Suchanti participated as a wildcard contestant in Bigg Boss 12, finishing in 8th place. He later starred as Anshuman Sharma in Dil Yeh Ziddi Hai (2019–2020).
From 2021 to 2025, Rohit played the lead role of Rishi Oberoi in Bhagya Lakshmi, which became a major turning point in his career. In 2025, he joined the cast of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 as Angad Virani.
