Shagun Sharma (born 28 October 1997) is an Indian television actress known for her work in Hindi television serials. She gained recognition for her performances as Sonali Malhotra in Ishk Par Zor Nahi, Tanya Awasthi in Sasural Genda Phool 2, Mohini Vijayan in Harphoul Mohini, and Kashvi Bajwa in Yeh Hai Chahatein. Since 2025, she has been portraying the negative character Paridhi “Pari” Virani in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2.[1]
Early life and education
Shagun Sharma was born in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, into a Hindu family. She grew up in a culturally rich environment and developed an interest in acting and performing arts at a young age. After completing her schooling in Himachal Pradesh, she moved to pursue a professional career in the Indian television industry.[2]
Career
Shagun Sharma made her acting debut in 2015 with the Star Plus television series Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan, where she played the role of Sanjana Kapoor. Following her debut, she appeared in several television shows in supporting and parallel lead roles.
She rose to prominence in 2021 with her portrayal of Sonali “Sonu” Malhotra in Sony TV’s Ishk Par Zor Nahi. The same year, she played the lead role of Tanya Awasthi in Sasural Genda Phool 2, which further established her as a leading actress. In 2022, she starred as Mohini Vijayan opposite Zebby Singh in Harphoul Mohini.
From 2023 to 2024, Sharma appeared as Kashvi Bajwa in Star Plus’s Yeh Hai Chahatein. In 2025, she joined the cast of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, portraying the negative character Paridhi “Pari” Virani. In addition to television, she has acted in the short film Mera Number Kab Aayega, which received recognition at several film festivals.
